The entire compilation of the content found on the Service is the exclusive property of AFROFOODS and its partners, with copyright authorship for this compilation by AFROFOODS .

Data
We make data (the “Data”) available for the implementation of the AFROFOODS platform for consortium partners and the public.
It is prohibited to copy or download Data. The only purpose of this Service is to publish African food composition data on the Service.
Re-export or transfer of the data from this Service to a third party is also prohibited. This is in the best interest of both the individual data providers and the potential users as unrestricted copying of the original data by multiple, independent users may lead to errors in the data.
Data may be subject to restrictions beyond the scope of these Terms and Conditions, either because specific terms apply to those Data or because third parties may have ownership interests. It is the User’s responsibility to verify whether the Data is fully or partially owned by third parties and/or whether additional restrictions may apply, and to contact the owner of the Data before incorporating it in your work in order to secure the necessary permissions. In no way, we represent or warrant that we own or control all rights in all Data, and we will not be liable to any User for any claims brought against the User by third parties in connection with the use of any Data.

Availability of Data
The availability of the Data is contingent upon the availability of our corresponding resources, whose capacity is subject to change at any time. We may monitor your use of the Data and reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without limitation, to modify the amount of Data you may request in a single query, to modify the number of queries you may make over a specified time, to remove certain Data and to alter the file formats in which Data are available.

Usage of APIs
Our application programming interfaces (“APIs”) are made available on an “as-is” basis, and use of an API is at your own risk. In particular, but without limitation, we disclaim all warranties as to an API’s compatibility with your hardware and software and accepts no liability for any damages or claims arising out of or in connection with your use of an API and/or the underlying Data accessed through an API. For the avoidance of doubt, we accept no obligation to provide technical, administrative or other support in connection with the APIs or for any other purpose. We may decide to suspend or terminate the provision of the APIs and API-accessible Data at any time.

We may release updated versions of the APIs from time to time and at its sole discretion. Once we release updated versions, previous APIs may no longer function properly, and you therefore agree, for each API, to use the most up-to-date version available.

You agree not to modify, distribute, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or perform any similar action on the APIs or any of their portions or components.

We reserve the right to limit or suspend any User’s IP address access to the APIs at any time and without notice for any reason, including if we determine that you are using or are attempting to use the Data and/or the APIs in violation of these Terms in such a way as to harm us, AFROFOODS partners or any other party, or if you are placing too great load on the Service necessary for making the Data available to a reasonable number of people. You agree not to use any technical means to interfere with our monitoring of usage of the above-mentioned resources. We reserve the right to use any technical means to overcome attempted technical interference with monitoring. Finally, the APIs will be unavailable from time to time, at our sole discretion, for periodic maintenance.

When entering an API query, we require, you to register your details. The information you provide to us during the registration process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Registration in no way impacts the application of these Terms on you or us.

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by us.
We have no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

The entire communication with us is electronic. Every time you send us an email or use our Service, you are going to be communicating with us. You hereby consent to receive communications from us. By using our Service, you agree that the laws of all AFROFOODS partner countries and in case of data issues, the laws of the data provider, without regard to principles of conflict laws, will govern these terms and conditions, or any dispute of any sort that might come between us and you, or its business partners and associates.
Any dispute related in any way to your usage of our Service shall be arbitrated by state or federal court in one of the AFROFOODS partner countries and in case of data issues, by the state or federal court of the data provider, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
